Green Living – Tips for living a green life

Earth Day is celebrated once a year yet we can live a more greener life each day by simply following simple tips on green living.

With the growing problems and deterioration of Mother Earth, different green advocates and organization are calling the people of the world to live a more greener life.

There are lots of ways to make your life greener, you can start from your own home, in your office, with the things you use and buy and your daily practices and habits. Green living means making healthy and green choices each day.

Even if it’s a very simple act  it can be a big impact on our environment or our carbon footprint.  Green your life with sustainable action, choosing eco-friendly, organic or natural products and always remember to practice the 3R of the environment(Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, ) to minimize waste.

There are thousand tips of how you can Green your life and those tips can be found on the net and I guess if i have to put them all on this post, it would be too long  but what I wanted for everybody to know is that living a greener life starts on having a green attitude,  accepting the fact that we need to do our part to make this work.  Each of us see this on a different way, what is good for one is not good for another and sustainable living means different things for different people.  So, it is really entirely up to us to do what we think is better for our family, keeping in our thoughts the help it can give to Mother Earth.  You can browse my old post for some inspiration and ideas.

I live by the saying “everyday is earth day” but I still have a lot to learn about being green. I recycle everything I can. We don’t have recycling for anything that doesn’t have a one or a two in the recycle triangle on it. I would love to know if anyone knows how/where to recycle those items? But for now, I use dryer balls, laundry balls, turn off the water while brushing teeth – things like that.

I do everything I can get my family to do. My husband does not like the newspapers sitting around or a stack or magazines, so I hide them in a box and give them to my mom when she visits. The newspapers she gets recycled for free, the magazines go to the laundry mat where she works and everyone enjoys them. We also use the new light bulbs, use cold water for laundry.

  15. Always recycle! Almost everything can be saved from the trash!

  16. My green idea is cutting out animal products from your diet! Animals consume significantly more water per pound than vegetables do and in this modern day and age you can be very healthy on a plant-based diet.
