Going Green? Here’s a study of designer Matt Robinson on ink usage of some of commonly used-typefaces.
He draw a large scale renditions of the typefaces with ballpoint pens
allowing the remaining ink levels to display the ink efficiency of each typeface
This project was done to know which among the fonts are economical in usage
after writing all the typefaces, we know that Garamond is the most economical of the eight choices
This test has no scientific basis but it can be a good thought next time you think of printing what you have in your screen but of course, it’s still economical if you don’t need to print them after all if they are not really necessary to do so.
